Jordan Sucato

Jordan Sucato is on a mission to protect pups—right down to their feet. In Phoenix, temperatures can soar so high that a simple stroll turns dangerous. “If it’s 120 degrees outside, then it’s 140 to 160 degrees on the pavement,” says Jordan. Dogs’ paws can burn and blister.

Mesh dog boots offer protection, but not everyone can afford them. So Jordan decided to help. In 2024, she launched a GoFundMe campaign to buy boots for dogs that live on the street with their owners. Her goal is to raise $20,000 for a local nonprofit that distributes the protective gear.

Jordan spreads the word at schools and local events. So far, she has raised more than $18,000—funding about 1,200 pairs of boots. “We are all on this Earth together,” she says. “Everybody needs help.”
